Starlux Airlines Officially Selling Tickets

Starlux Airlines Taiwanese newest airline has officially started selling tickets. Company representatives were at their Macau operations for the event. Online ticket sales started on December 16. The company’s Chief Communications Officer, Kuo-Wei Nieh said 4,000 tickets for all three destinations were sold in just 11 minutes that day.

Flights will start on January 23, 2020. The new service will provide more options for Macau residents to visit Taiwan during the 2020 Chinese New Year which is observed from January 25 to February 8.

The initial routes will be connecting Taipei to Macau, Danang, Vietnam and to Penang, Malaysia with projected long-haul routes to Europe by 2022 and North America by 2024.

The Taipei – Macau flights will depart Taoyuan International Airport three time daily (7:30am, 1:05pm, 6:50pm) the Mauca return flights leaves at 10:30am, 4:10pm and 9:40pm.

Starlux Airlines took delivery of its first Airbus A321neo in October in an order of 10 Airbus A321neo.

Starlux Airlines was founded in May, 2018 by Chang Kuo-wei, the former Chairman of EVA Airlines.

The son of Chang Yung-fa, deceased Taiwan’s Evergreen Group and airline EVA Airways founder, Chang Kuo-wei left the company in 2016 following a family dispute and started with plans to create a new ’boutique’ premium airline.
