London is considered one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, there is always the desire to visit this beautiful city. It doesn’t matter what you are interested in, there is something for you, thus London is considered one of the most crucial cities in the world. In fact, it’s usually not easy to decide what to do. Vacation days are numbered and it’s tight on the wallet with so many things to do.
Keep in mind the recommended time to visit London is March through May when the temperature is milder and the parks greenery are blooming. However, late spring – along with summer will work also, it might be a little warmer.
If you are not sure about booking a trip to London, here are our reasons to visit London:
1. Visit Windsor Castle
The Flightag team did this trip in June 2018, and everyone loved it. You just might be able to see Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II up-close when she leaves the castle to visit Ascot Racecourse.
2. The National Gallery
The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square. You will enjoy a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. You never know which celebrity might be there (we met Simon Callow, the actor in Four Weddings and a Funeral).
3. Go Shopping
Be prepared to be impressed with the exquisite and delicious chocolate selection at Harrods and Fortnum Mason. Of course that is if you’re into chocolates (who isn’t).
4. Attend a major sporting event
The folks here at Flightag loves soccer and cricket. Catch a cricket test match at Lord’s Cricket Ground or a top Premier League soccer game at Wembley Stadium.
5. View London’s Skyline
London’s spectacular skyline includes The Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral, London Eye all offering great views of the city and many more places.
6. Double Decker bus ride
Watch the London unfold around you on one of the sightseeing bus tours and hop-on hop-off as much as you like for the best way to see the city. Grab a cool drink and something to eat jut in case you would prefer to sit and skip the hop-off part.
