flynas has signed an order for 10 Airbus A321XLRs at the 2019 Dubai Airshow. flynas CEO Bandar Almohanna and Airbus COO Christian Scherer signed the deal. The A321XLR is the next generation jet in response to market demands of more range and payload. The A321XLR is Airbus’ single-aisle plane that competes with the Boeing’s MAX.
The A321XLR has a capacity of up to 4,700nm, with 30% lower fuel consumption per seat, compared with previous-generation according to Airbus. This is a powerful cost savings to airlines.
The Saudi Arabia based low-cost airline currently operates 27 A320ceos and four A320neos. The airline transported over 6.6 million passengers between domestic and international flights.
