Indonesia’s Batik Air enters the A320neo club with its first Airbus A320neo aircraft. Indonesia’s Lion Group celebrated the arrival of its first A320neo at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The new addition marked the 46th Airbus aircraft in Batik Air’s fleet that already includes 44 A320 Family Aircraft and one A330-300. The Jakarta-based airline is a subsidiary of Lion Air Group.
Similar to its existing A320neo aircraft, the new A320neo is equipped with two-class configuration for a total of 156 seats (12 business and 144 economy seats) and will be deployed by the carrier on its regional services and increase its capacity.
The A320neo Family had received more than 7,100 firm orders from over 100 customers worldwide, it has the widest single aisle cabin in the sky.
