The Greek Airline AEGEAN unveiled a brand new livery on their new Airbus A320neo aircraft on Wednesday. The new livery was on display at a special event held by the company to showcase first three new Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The event was attended by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis along with other executives and aviation professionals.
The new livery features colors that represent AEGEAN’s Greek identity.
“Today marks the transition to a new era marked by AEGEAN’s new corporate identity… Now in our third decade, we will continue to invest and strive to deserve the confidence of our passengers, to operate responsibly with respect to the environment and to provide opportunities for our employees to evolve,” said AEGEAN Chairman Eftichios Vassilakis.
“With a new image that sends forth values such as Greekness, hospitality and credibility, we aspire for our new fleet to function as a vehicle of our heritage and also as a symbol of a new dynamic, a new creative starting point for the country,” Vassilakis added.
AEGEAN Airlines total order for the A320neo family is valued at $6 Billion at list prices.
“A Greek company is carrying out the largest private investment ever made in the aviation sector and one of the largest private investments ever made in the country,” the Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis said.
“The government actively encourages businesses that are focused on cutting-edge technologies, respect their human resources and follow the requirements of green growth,” PM Mitsotakis added.
